About City

Shanghai City is one of China’s biggest Cities with a region of more than 6,300 square kilometres (2,440 square miles), which divided into 16 districts. The city name is exactly means “on the sea”, is located on estuary of Yangtze River. Shanghai is a world-famous Center for financial, international trade, and cultural with population of more than 23 million in china. This city was one of the most punctual open ports in China, encountered a frontier history during the two universal wars, and was a safe house for Russian and Jewish exiles during these seasons of fighting. Today, the violent history still leaves big impress and motivating stories about the city.

Initially it is a fishing village and market town, Shanghai developed in significance in the 19th century because of exchange and its great port area. The city was one of five arrangement ports constrained open to foreign exchange after the First Opium War. The city at that point prospered, turning into an essential business and financial Center of the Asia-Pacific district during the 1930s. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, the city was the site of the significant Battle of Shanghai. After the war, with the CPC takeover of China in 1949, exchange was restricted to other communist nations, and the city's worldwide impact declined.

Shanghai is a one of the world’s busiest city, offers quieter historic districts and attractions alongside its many newer visitor destinations and gives chances to investigation by water along the Chinese coast and its inland waterways.
